..so the wide brim is more useful for sun blocking?
Im skeptical that a spray fabric stiffenning agent previously suggested would work due to weight and holes in the design of it.

run a wire through the brim, if you don’t want to see it, paint it to match

   try getting it wet, put it in the shape u want and secure that shape and then put it in the freezer.
