  • is it safe to use iron on letters on a fitted hat?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under fitted hat | 1 Comment »

i want to have a fitted hat embroidered for my boyfriend but no shops around here embroider…so
i was wondering if its safe to iron on small letters, and then sew them

Iron on letters are stiff and hard. Depending on the composition of the hat, it may be impossible to actually apply them that way. Iron on stuff requires high heat for at least 15 to 30 seconds. If the hat is made of a synthetic or synthetic blend, it will be damaged by the heat. Safest would be to sew the letters by hand.
