How do you get hot glue off of felt?

My Halloween costume requires a black felt hat. I have one but It has hot glue on one of the parts, Is their anyway I can get it off?

usually when it dries, it pulls off.
You could try trimming it off gently.

  1. Just peel it off. Some of the felt may come with it, so do it carefully.

  2. Go to home depot and ask for a solvent or something like that…

heat the glue up with an iron and absorb it up with something. I did that with candle wax on clothing and it worked… so it could work on the hot glue. either that or just try pulling it off while it is cold.

  5. try to get it really hot again so that the glue will soften enough for you to get it off. you could put a rag in boiling water, and with rubber gloves of course grab it out of there and place the rag on top of the glue. hope that helps

    done something like it before.

  6. Felt is actually just a bunch of loose fibers pressed together, so if you pull the glue you will probably get holes. Solvent will just dissolve the felt. YOur best chances are to either reheat it carefully and remove it; ot cover the sports with something else. Good Luck!

  7. The fibers of the felt are embedded into the hot glue. The only way to get it off is to peel it off or maybe use a razor blade to scrape it off. Sorry
