Even if they are happier even if it is a "fairy tale" to you?
Happier than what? How would they know they were "happier" without having something to compare it against?
Yes, I do feel religious people are wasting their lives. Just think how much better the world could be if we invested all that time, energy and money in good works instead, like education, medicine, fighting poverty and inequality.

They can waste their lives believing all the BS they want. They can chase Bigfoot for eternity for all I care… just keep the opinions out of our laws, schools and OUR lives.

As long as I am not affected. Anyway, it’s fun to tease them about their "invisible man in the sky" every once in a while.

I am not a member of any religious organization nor an atheist. I think it is wonderful for a Christian to be a Christian and be happy! What more would I want for others than for them to experience love and happiness in their lives? I do feel a little sad if there is a Christian who is experiencing fear by believing in God that judges and punishes its creation… but hey, I am all for their freedom of thoughts and beliefs!

I more or less worry about the violent parts of the bible. Christians can’t get away with that stuff right now because of secular law. If that law disappeared, they would be right back in the game of enforcing their world view. You can see this happen in areas where secular law is weak. Your religion scares the spit out of me. If it was just about wasting your lives, I for one wouldn’t care what you did. If you want atheists/agnostics to leave you alone, edit the bible and take all the violent enforcement parts out. Better yet, just throw the whole old testament out. Then I will feel safe in ignoring your beliefs.

Go to the Rapture Ready site sometime and read the boards. All those people are convinced that they are going to be whisked out of here any day now. They complain about how much they hate life, about how weary they are of this earth. Then they tell about all the things they don’t bother doing because they’re going to be gone soon – fixing the house, sending the kids to college, getting a better job, and so on. They’re just sitting around, whining and complaining, waiting for Jesus to take them out of their miserable lives and doing nothing to improve those lives.
If that’s not a wasted life I don’t know what is.

I wholeheartedly agree with YO. We are living in a new era, whereby people are becoming more consciously evolved, and beginning to ask the "heartfelt" questions, which lead them to knowing that spirituality is indeed a viable option for at least those few who have begun to shed limiting beliefs. Their thoughts have mostly to due with the same things that drive certain people to religion, however at the end of the day their thought processes tend to be completely independent of most religious texts and/or dogma.

As long as they don’t have any say in laws that affect me then let them have their stupid beliefs.

No, not at all.
We all have to have something to beleive in.
For some it’s god, for other’s it may just be family.
If you need something to believe in, there is nothing wrong with that at all, it’s human.
It’s the looking down on and trying to convert everyone else that gets the hackles up.

I respect the discipline….. My family is religious (cept my sis) but I’m not… it works for them but it’s not my thing, simple as that^^ As long as they don’t try to shove the religion in my face then i’m fine with it

Not really… personally I think religion can be a good thing when it leads to charity and morality (provided it can also lead to wars and discrimination). Whatever gets people through the day, I respect that. I just expect that mutual respect from them.

They may be happier, but so are addicts, when they’re high.
Christianity is a sick system. You have to feel bad (guilty) so you can feel good (forgiven) for the things you should never have felt bad about in the first place.
