I don’t know if they call them cowboy hats in Australia, but you get the general idea, right?. I was thinking about this the other day and I’m really curious about it.
Yes, they do in New Zealand, Canada and in South Africa too.

Hungary. Hungarian cowboys(guylas, pronounced goulash, that’s where the name of the food comes from) wear cowboy hats that are tacked up on one side.

The gauchos (cattle men) in Argentina are famous for wearing cowboy hats.

umm all of South America wears cowboy hats… especially in Brazil.
Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia… countries where ranching is a major part of their tradition…
in Argentina, cowboys are called "Gauchos." In México their called "Vaqueros" or "Charros."

perhaps they use hats in countries like South Africa, but I’m not sure if its a cowboy hat…
