I have tried those shells that go over the baseball hat and you then wash and they really don’t work that well. Any suggestions. The sweat is ruining my baseball hats.

Use Non-Chlorine bleach, like Clorox 2 and with a tooth brush scrub the bleach into the sweat on both inside and outside of you cap. Let it sit for 20 minutes or so. Rinse and put the caps on the top shelf of your dishwasher.

Get one of these. I use them for my husbands caps and they work great.

I’d buy an expensive one. They’re made from better materials, last longer, fit better, and you’ll be happier in the long run. You could also try craigslist.com

Grow your hair out. If it’s really short… there really isn’t anything else to do about it except growing it a bit longer so that it lays down.

We had a demo recently, and I ended up losing my hat halfway through. With drill team competitions, your team can lose points if any hats fall off, so I really need some ideas on how to keep it on.

I have already tried spraying hairspray around where the hat goes on, which worked for a short time, but I still lost it. We’ve also tried adding paper towel in any slight gaps, but neither of these have worked.

Any suggestions?

I compete in showmanship and western pleasure, among other classes, where losing your hat equals practically a disqualification. To keep mine on at all times, I start with a well fitting hat. If it doesn’t fit well, think about getting it shaped to your head. If you can’t, get the grey inserts to put in the head band (not sure if that’s the term for it) until it is snug on your head. Next, apply hairspray to your head where the hat will sit. Take some bobby pins and stick them into the head band, only a little way pushed in. Put the hat on your head, and push the pins into your hard, hair sprayed hair. It sounds gross, but it really keeps the hat on. I have also heard that many people spray hairspray on their forehead and occasionally the hat so that it grips their head.

How often can a male wear a hat without resulting in damage to you hair?
Damage bieng long term hairloss or anything along those lines
Hats are actually good for your hair. They prevent sun damage.
Genetics takes the part in hairloss/baldness. It is not a hat. Medicine can help if that is the case.

All I know is to cast on 84 stitches, then do the stockinette stitch until it is 8 inches long, but I forgot the rest. So I was wondering if anyone else knew because I cant find it anywhere online.

I don’t know about the specific pattern you mention. I suppose that if anyone did have it they would not be able to publish it online because of copyright infringement laws. You might find the same book in a library or even a store, and you could read it over and see if that helps. Could someone at home make a copy and mail it to you? Otherwise, any similar type of hat should help. There are huge numbers of free hat patterns online, and you can see pictures if you search images. Good luck, I hope this helps.
