  • How Do I Clean A White On White New Era Fitted Hat?

Posted by admin on February 1st, 2010 and filed under fitted hat | 2 Comments »

Yeah, I just "Spray N Washed" my white on white hat. Looked good the day after, then turned a yellowish pissish color. Is there any way to get rid of this? Any suggestions are welcome. Hopefully I didn’t just ruin a 35$ hat.

    Thanks!

    pissish…lol…..get a new hat papi…….

I need a hat like those adorable scene boys wear (:
pacsun has some but where can i find a better selection?

    * i think they’re fitted baseball caps with the flat bill :p

I don’t how "scene" guys look like, but I have a lot of fitted new era caps and they’re great. You can check out new era online and find the store closest to you.

How do i make my new fitted hat from lids to fit my head?

The hat is an L.A. Angels hat from the MLB Cooperstown Collection it navy blue with a Carolina Blue brim. I think if i shower with it the colors will run and mix. What is the best way to make it fit my head?
For a picture of the hat go to:
    http://www.lids.com/pid/20119511
The hat’s width is fine its just that the front sticks up way to high on my head

First of all why didn’t you buy a FITTED hat that was your size to begin with? DUMB! As most of New Era hats are made of wool when they get wet they will shrink when they dry so if you do soak it in water you should wear it wet until it dries. The colors wont run if you use cold water.

If it’s too big, since it’s wool you can shrink it, but if you don’t do it right it could end up too snug. Fill up a sink with cold water and thoroughly soak it. Let it drip dry until it’s damp then you’ll have to wear it around and you should get a pretty good custom fit. (note: New Era’s new caps are a blend so they will not shrink)

If it’s too small you can break the sizing bands and can usually get it to go 1 size higher, maybe…
Just put your hat on over your knee so that the brim faces you. Grab the hat where the bill is sewn to the cap and pull HARD. (you don’t want to rip the bill off but it takes a bit of force, oh and it voids the warranty as well) It should make a POP noise-ripping is bad that means stitching is coming loose.

how to wash my fitted hat without damaging it?

i just got this really nice and expensive fitted hat you know the ones with flat rims and shinny stickers on them well its white and its gotten really dirty due to dirt build up since it accidently blew off of my head and fell onto some dirt. and i just wanted to know if there is a way to clean it using maybe spray or something without damaging it or shrinking and without taking off the sticker (valuable) thank you for any advice

To start with, have a look at the little tag (usually on the inside edge) that tells all about what your baseball hats are made of and what the manufacturers instructions are for washing the baseball hats. If the tag is still there and you can read it that’s great. Now you have some of the information you need to go ahead and wash your baseball cap safely, without shrinking it or wrecking the brim.

Is the sticker a sticker or is actually part of the hat? my brother always cleans his hats by using woodlite and a tooth brush in the sink not soaking it but putting the wool lite on a tooth brush and scrubbing because you dont have to wash the wool lite off it wont hurt your skin

I bought a very unique and limited edition fitted cap off ebay and its probably 1/8 too small. i could probably go to a tailor to see what they could do but I would probably look foolish and they could probably charge whatever they wanted. has anyone tried this before?

    You really can’t…

can it be washed? it is salt from your sweat that has dried and it will come out if the hat can be washed.

Where can I find a purple LA Dodgers fitted hat?

Posted by admin on December 21st, 2009 and filed under fitted hat | 2 Comments »

I have browsed a TON of websites but haven’t had any luck at all. At this point I am pretty frustrated, so I was hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a purple on purple Dodgers cap or at least a means to create one myself. I would prefer a link that takes me directly to this specific hat as opposed to a site’s home page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i was looking for a purple or light blue yankee fitted and found one at lids.com and one at hatland.com you should check them out
