Whats the best to clean a fitted hat. It is made out of polyester.
Also it is a few years old. It is not rediculously dirty but I just want to clean it.

If it has a dry clean label in it then take it there.I took 5 at the beginning of the winter that had never been cleaned & they only charged me £3 per hat.I reckon that was better than risking washing them & losing favourites.They did have embroidery on so another reason why I felt specialist cleaning was best

i want to have a fitted hat embroidered for my boyfriend but no shops around here embroider…so
i was wondering if its safe to iron on small letters, and then sew them

Iron on letters are stiff and hard. Depending on the composition of the hat, it may be impossible to actually apply them that way. Iron on stuff requires high heat for at least 15 to 30 seconds. If the hat is made of a synthetic or synthetic blend, it will be damaged by the heat. Safest would be to sew the letters by hand.

My actual hat size is somewhere between 7 1/2 and 7 5/8, which size is better for a comfortable fit

My size is 7 1/4 which would be a little too big if I were bald but I have my hair grown out and its thick. You shouldn’t buy a fitted a little too big or a little too small. A fitted should… fit.

I purchased a fitted hat on ebay a few days ago, but when i received it, it has an aweful smoke and undistinguishable smell. Its a new hat and in perfect condition, the only problem is the odor. how do i go about getting rid of the smell, since i was planning on giving this hat as a gift.

try to use frebreeze on it.

I went to a amusement park, and i guess i got my hat wet after a water ride, so then i put it in my friend’s backpack. When i got it back, i put it on, and it felt a lot smaller than the size. Is there any way i can make the hat a little larger?

its the official on field cap i have 2 nd it says they dont shrink

i dont think thats real seems like someone just made that. you might be able to get a custom made hat with it though.

Not without ruining it completely. You could boil it in water to shrink it but the end result will not be a happy one. Acrylic does not shrink easily. Maybe sew a sweat band into it ?

Yeah, I just "Spray N Washed" my white on white hat. Looked good the day after, then turned a yellowish pissish color. Is there any way to get rid of this? Any suggestions are welcome. Hopefully I didn’t just ruin a 35$ hat.
