Probably because women in cowboy hats tend to imply that they’re ready to party and have a good time. This is probably the same type of female that would be willing to overlook your weaknesses in regards to your spelling and grammar.

I am curious about Cowboy culture and I’m having a hard time trying to imagine myself wearing cowboy hats. So I want to know everything about them and see if I can wear them without feeling silly. well start by trying one on… then if u happen to enjoy it and think you look good dont worry about what others might think of you.. just wear the damn hat.. besides girls think cowboys are hott so it might just work in ur favor

I would love to travel to a place thats very country like. I would like not just a regular city but where everyone is country like where cowboy hats and outfits are common, kind of like Taylor Swift.
Preferably a place thats not too expensive to fly too either.

I know country and western are pretty similar but more along the lines of country, I mean a rodeo would be cool but thats more western

They are just hats. They aren’t a uniform for ranch workers and cowboys. They keep the sun off your face and neck, and the rain out of your eyes.

There is also the cultural component, where they are regular accessories that a lot of people own and wear on a regular basis, just as some people where baseball caps on a daily basis.

I am an English rider going Western, and I was just a bit cautious about wearing a hat instead of a helmet. If you fall, will a felt hat really protect your head?

The traditional cowboy hat provides absolutely no head protection in a fall. Fortunately, there’s a solution:

This is a helmet under a hat. I wish more western riders would use them. It looks a bit bigger than just the hat, but given the extra safety I strongly advise them. Especially for kids, especially in the more dangerous disciplines (contesting, team penning, etc.).

I am trying to organise a hen doo for July and want to buy 15 sash’s (1 bride to be, 2 bridesmaids & 1 mother of bride, the rest guests) and I also want to buy pink cowboy hats. Does anyone know where I could get these in bulk so it works out more cost effective.
