My bf has THE DIRTEST had ever. It’s all sweaty looking, smells and LOOKS dirty. He won’t get a new one because he loves the darn thing so much. How do I get it clean without ruining the shape of the bill of the hat?
Any suggestions would work!! thanks a lot.
A lot of people put them in the top rack of the dishwasher, but I just can’t bring myself to wash a dirty, sweaty, ball cap the same place I’ll be washing my dishes later, so I throw them in the washing machine, usually with a load of jeans. Pre-treat with Shout or Spray-n-Wash if it’s REAL dirty. When you take it out of the washer you can reshape the bill easily, if needed. I hang it on the clothes line or on a hook on the bathroom door to dry. Very simple!
like a big beanie but then it has a small ridge part (like a baseball hat has)
what are those? (i like them)
no not a beret. i know those . i think theyr e really stupid.
its a beanie with a small brim??
they are called messenger caps
I had one hat that I put in the wash machine and it came out clean but the front face of the hat would sort of wrinkle a little (hard to explain but if you’ve seen it you know what im talking about). Why is this? I let it air dry and wash it on a very small load. Is it the spin process that does that? Something else?
What does the pillow case do?
Some caps have cardboard in the bill and when wet and then dried to fast it will warp. I usually just hand wash and hang dry my caps.and wash in cold hot will shrink fabric
I have a white hat that…..is now no longer white.
1.You can put in dishwasher. 2.You can spray with a good cleaner and scrub with a finger nail brush. 3.I"ve even sprayed with a carpet cleaner. White hat soak in water and bleach. 5. To dry put on coffee can to dry to head form. NOTE: Should’nt get to wet, because of the cardboard in the bill will really start to deform and it’s all over.Good luck.
Got a couple of baseball caps that need washing but the brim is cardboard. We don’t have a dishwasher and putting it in the washing machine will just make the front go soggy. I’ve searched around for an answer and they all saying washing machine and dishwasher, but that had been tried in the past and it went soggy. Any suggestions?
How did you dry them? I washed my son’s cap and put it in the dryer. It came out fine.

Im looking for the style that the college baseball teams wear prefered nike but would also be interested in the Game Pro GP320. I can not find them anywhere online but havent looked long. I am a senior this year on my varsity baseball team and im in charge for choosing and custumizing that hats so please help me out.
I’d say check out one of those embroidery shops. They usually have them in or around malls. You can buy plain hats from lids and then have whatever you want put on them. Good Luck

Just curious how you guys fit your baseball hats. I’m pretty old school and just shower with it then wear it until it dries. What about everyone else?
I just wear it when I get it. I’ve never thought of that though, shower with it and then wear it til it dries. That’s smart.
I’m going sailing, and have been told its compulsary to bring a hat lanyard for a baseball hat (to hold it on in the wind).
Can’t find one online anywhere -
Can you link me a UK site (going next week so shipping from abroad will take to long).
OR are the any other ways to hold a baseball cap on in high winds? Clips I can buy or anything?
I was thinking something more durable then just tying it to me!!
To be honest, tying it to you could be the best option!
Musto make hats with lanyards already sewn on, with a mini-crocodile clip on the end so you can just clip it on to your collar.

I hope you enjoy sailing and don’t lose your hat!
