If a poor sense of fashion is the worst flaw a boyfriend of mine could have – I would be quite happy to let him wear what the hell he wants. I don’t know – maybe she’s a bit immature.

but there are worse things a person can do on a date – and dictating to someone what they can and can’t do and what they should and shouldn’t wear is not exactly an attractive quality either. Your girlfriend could use a bit of perspective

haha that’s silly i reckon. sounds like ur gf is more concerned about how you look to everyone else next to her than anything else. .if my bf wore something i didn’t like in public i wouldnt’ crack the shits about it, i’d just giggle at him and say he’s my frumpy cutie, an maybe tell him he’s so hot i’ve gotta dress him up sometime an take him shopping but i certainly wouldn’t ever get mad at him!

I’m afraid it’s true. I have poor fashion sense too. I appointed some friends to keep my style up to date once in a while. Whenever I wear something they dont like, they just say it and would argue that I don’t do it again (even if I personally like it). Imagine a girlfriend. hahaha. Sucks on your case.
Oh btw: you WILL be wearing that pink cap. Girls are powerful like that…well, hopefully you’ll resist. And no, a bucket hat ain’t that bad. I think it’s kinda cool.

You have to understand that most girls feel that their boyfriend’s are reflections of them. So if she looks good, you had better look good.

Not all girls think that way, but it really depends on their taste. For example, girls who are a little more sporty will typically be laid back in dress, but like their guys to be masculine and athletic looking as well.

If you are a nice looking guy, I’m sure that your girlfriend wants other people to notice, and while it sounds insane, she won’t have a hat ruining that.

Just be careful not to become a trophy.

Most girls do feel that they have to dress their men, because they want to look good, and they feel they have to accessorize their man like they accessorize themselves.

A large portion of their confidence and self-worth is based within how they perceive they look. This is why there will be times you feel she looks great, but she will insist that she does not. You will be unable to understand how she could NOT see what you see, in that she looks great. You will tell her, and she will question you "Do you really think so?" Then proceed to pick apart why she doesn’t think she looks as great as you think she does.

Lack of confidence, and materialism to a destructive depth. But hey that’s pop culture for you.

Make a choice. Either be comfortable in your own skin and stand up for yourself, or let her dress you like she’s your mom and you are a 5 year old.

In the end you might look better, but then she will get upset at YOU when other girls notice how good she made you look and start to pay attention to you. She will refuse to take responsibility for this. it will be your fault for attracting them.

Personally, if she didn’t ask you to thnik more sensibly what you wear, and offer you fashion tips, she’s not worth the bother. It seems like she’s more interested in how you look ‘hey girls, i have the best boyfriend!’.

I persoanlly love guys who dress with the gothic fashion. However, my partner generally wears sweatshirts and jeans all the time. This really doesn’t bother me, as I’m crazy about him for who he is, not what he flipping wears lol :p

Ask her why it matters so much to her. If she can’t answer, I’d think about dating her.

well you need to show us the pic of the hat on you. but other then that most girls care what there date looks like so it really depends on the hat. if it was that bad that she made you put on a PINK hat ya you need to go shopping for so hats
