How do you flatten the bill of a baseball hat?
I have a baseball hat and I want to know how to flatten the bill out so it is straight, like the New Era 5950 ones.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
P.S. I know some people don’t like the bills that way, but some people do, so don’t leave answers saying "Don’t change it, it’s better curved", please.
first bend it the other way, then lay it under one (or more) heavy book. That should keep it that way.
Just keep bending it. Or, lay a heavy book on it for about a week.

Lay something flat and heavy on it, like heavy books.

Bend it upwards.

Slide the bill between to of your heaviest books (or anything else flat and heavy) so that you have a flat surface on both sides of the bill. It should reform with a day or two. If it still refuses too, throw it in the washer and put it between them when you take it out. Just make sure you don’t dry it.

Try ironing it with steam. Use the lowest steam setting, like the one for polyester, because it could melt the fabric if it is too hot. This way, you won’t get any unwanted creases (from bending) or water damage (from washing/wetting).
